What you need to know about Aerial Hoop

What is Aerial Hoop?

Aerial Hoop is a performance art you might have seen in circus shows or artistic performances.

About the apparatus

We use a circular steel ring, also known as a Lyra, that is suspended from the ceiling or aerial rigs. The hoop allows you to sit, hang, and balance as you perform stunning poses and transitions. You can create beautiful shapes, spins, and sequences that showcase strength and grace with practice.

So how does Aerial Hoop help you?

Build strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It’s a full-body workout that engages your core, arms, shoulders, back, and even your legs.

It teaches you to move with intention and control, building confidence as you master new skills.

Do I need to be strong or flexible to join a class?

Nope. Many of our students start with no prior experience in fitness or aerial arts. Our classes are designed to help you gain strength and flexibility while having fun. All you need is the willingness to try something new and exciting.

Our Hoop classes

So you have a beginner class?

Yes! We teach you all the necessary basics and help you gain strength over the course of 12 classes.

When can I join a beginner class?

You can join Beginner 1 classes anytime. Beginner 2 classes are for those who have completed Beginner 1.

If you don't see Beginner 1 classes in our schedule, you can send us a message. If there is enough interest we will add one. If not, you can join Open Training classes to catch up and join the group. Just make sure you pick classes where a teacher for your discipline is teaching.

What do I need to wear or bring?

  • Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely, ideally long leggings.

  • Do not wear any rings or bracelets on your hands and wrists. They can cause injuries and damage the apparatuses.

  • Bring a bottle of water, it's important to stay hydrated.

Here's everything else you need to know before joining us

What about other levels?

Yup! Unlike the Beginner module where we learn the basics step by step, Intermediate and Advanced classes have a bit of a different focus.

During these classes we learn a sequence or combination of moves that we can later use in performances.

And speaking of performances, we also offer a variety of events like photoshoots, workshops, and performance days to help you elevate your aerial skills.

How much does a class cost?

We have different types of memberships and payment options for every budget. Check out our Prices page to learn more.
