Our teaching style
At our studio, we believe in teaching with patience and inclusivity. No matter your pace or background, we welcome everyone with open arms. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to sports altogether, we want you to feel comfortable and supported throughout your journey with us.
Our program is designed to start from the very basics, so don't worry if you've never tried aerial sports before. We'll build up everything from the ground up, step by step, until you're able to achieve things you never thought possible.
One of our top priorities is creating a judgment-free environment. We've heard too many stories of students feeling insecure or judged at other studios, and we're determined to be different. We want our studio to be a safe, supportive space where everyone can feel encouraged and empowered.
We're all about constructive teaching here at Onensa. Our classes and events are carefully planned to make sure you get the most out of each session. We start with the fundamentals and work our way up, at a pace that suits you. And believe us, you'll see results! Not just in your skills, but in your confidence and overall well-being too.
We can't wait to welcome you to our community of amazing people who help and encourage each other so don't forget to book your spot.

Hi, I'm Mea
Founder, Aerial Silk, Pole Flow, and
Stretching teacher
My name is Philomea Ruiter I'm the founder of Onensa and an aerial silk, stretching, and pole flow teacher, passionate about moving, flowing, and dancing.
My story begins in the Netherlands with my first pole dance class in 2013. I fell in love instantly. One year later, I was invited to take part in a Pole Teacher Training course. Once I finished the course, I taught pole dance classes for 2 years in my country.
In 2016, a new chapter started with my travels as I tried to find my purpose in life. It was 2 years before I decided to move to Romania, where I found my love for teaching and sharing my knowledge again. This made it possible for me to open my own studio, Onensa, in 2019, offering Aerial Silk, Pole Flow, and more.
I aim to teach in a patient, constructive, and loving way. With years of experience, I have created a program that starts easy and slowly builds up, allowing everyone to try aerial and grow together with the program. I hope to see you soon in one of my classes!

Hei, Agnes here!
Aerial Silk teacher
I'm Agnes Gabor and I started learning aerial silk in February 2019. I knew what aerial silk was because I watched a Cirque du Soleil show before and instantly fell in love with the sport.
I didn't dare to imagine that I could learn it, though. Turns out, a cocktail of an experienced teacher, carefully developed teaching methods, encouragement, patience, and perseverance can lead you further than you've ever imagined.

Hi, it's Blanka!
Aerial Hammock, Silk and Pole Flow teacher
My name is Blanka Farczádi. My journey with pole and aerial silks began in July 2023, swiftly transforming into an essential part of my life.
While my sports background was limited to hiking and seasonal activities, I never envisioned exploring my feminine side, moving gracefully, and embracing the challenge.
Enter Onensa—a game-changer. It confronted my deepest insecurities, encouraging me to be feminine, sexy and wild, while learning to love my body unconditionally.
Stepping into my first classes was a turning point, pushing me beyond my fears. Now, I encourage you to surprise and challenge yourself. With a dash of perseverance, patience, and motivation.
Get ready for a marvelous journey!

Hey, I'm Flavia
Aerial Silk and Pole Flow teacher
Hi, I'm Flavia Sasu, and I've always had a sweet spot for performing arts. In the late 90s, I used to watch ice skating and circus shows on TV, and I was fascinated by the power of the stories told through the skills and passion of artists.
In 2015, I found a group of like-minded people and started doing fire shows. Then, in 2018, when the first pole studio opened in Cluj, I embarked on a pole sport journey. In 2021, I competed in the Pole Fitness & Sport National Championships and placed 2nd.
In 2020, Mea opened new spots for the Silk Beginners course, and I decided to join the group. I was eager to try aerial silks, and oh, boy, I instantly fell in love with this apparatus. Since then, I have been a dedicated student, showing up to every class, practicing by myself, and putting choreos and performances together.
I am very lucky to be able to perform next to my colleagues at various events or on performance days, sharing my story and my feelings through my passion and skills.
Now, I can share the knowledge, tips & tricks, pain, bruises, frustration, happiness, excitement, community, and support with you through teaching.

Hello, I'm Geo!
Aerial Silk teacher
My name is Georgiana Balabasciuc and my aerial journey started in January 2023.
I've always been drawn to art-related topics. As a child, I used to surprise my parents with my climbing abilities. As a teenager, I made knotted bracelets. Whenever I'm home alone, I dance around and train my flexibility. Summing these up, you can see why discovering aerial silk was revelatory for me.
My main profession is in the technical domain and my main passion is here, at Onensa, where I feel complete whenever I get to play with my creativity, learn new moves, challenge myself, and be inspired by this wonderful community that made me feel so much more connected - both to them and to myself.
I would have never imagined how much you can learn and grow in less than one year of practice - and the journey has just started.
As a people-oriented person, I know that all my motivation came from the amazing people I met since I joined the studio. I'm looking forward to transmit the joy of aerial arts. See you in class!

Heey, I'm Ioana
Stretching teacher
My name is Degeu Ioana. I am 25 years old and have lived in Cluj-Napoca for 6 years.
I have been an active person all my life and have tried many types of sports, but I fell in love with Yoga in the summer of 2020 when I attended my first class in the park. Since then, I've been training and practicing as often as I can because nothing compares to how good the practice makes me feel.
I have never been able to reach the full front splits in my life, but through Yoga, I managed to do it. That is when I realized I had to share this practice with as many people as I could.
After getting my Yoga Teacher Certificate 200H in February 2023, I started teaching at the Indian School of Yoga Therapy here in Cluj. I also guided a 150-person class at the International Yoga Day Festival, and I do mostly 1-on-1 classes to focus on each individual’s capabilities.
I'm always looking forward to creating a calm and welcoming environment in my class where my students can push their limits to achieve a level of flexibility and strength that they didn’t think was achievable before.
I love what I do, and I love that I get to do it together with other passionate people 🧡.

Hi, it's Laura
Aerial Hammock teacher
My passion for movement flourished once I learned how I can blend sports and art, my body thus becoming a vehicle for self expression.
In 2017 I started taking adult ballet classes, hoping it was not too late to explore the love I had for classical dance ever since childhood. This was a truly formative experience, as it taught me not only grace and attention to details, but also discipline and perseverance. Soon I became eager to explore what lay beyond the limits of ballet, so I enrolled in contemporary dance classes. Playing with organic movement, focusing on sensation in the detriment of shape, the possibility of raw expression of inner experiences through my body turned dance into a form of therapy for me.
Starting with 2017, I had the opportunity to take my passion in front of an audience with Efreet Light & Fire Show. With each performance on stage, I grew more as an artist, and playing with fire opened up a sense of adventure that led me to fall in love with choreography. I love exploring the limits of my creativity by combining multiple artistic disciplines and forms into conceptual performances.
My aerial journey started in 2018 with aerial hoop. Stepping into the studio felt like entering a whole new different world, and I was amazed of all the shapes my body could draw in the air. It was even better to do it as a team! So, in 2021, my partner, Iulia, and I became the first duo in Romania to win in the Aerial Sports and Artistic Aerial categories of the IPSF National Competition, Hoop Doubles division.
I discovered aerial hammock in 2021 and I was instantly attracted to the elegance and fluidity of movement this apparatus cultivates. On the hammock, I feel light as a feather and free as a bird; it allows me to be spontaneous and creative, like there is always a new shape just waiting to be discovered. Hammock can teach you posture and grace, strength and flexibility, and it’s a very beginner-friendly apparatus for anyone who is starting aerial for the first time.
In 2022, I conquered my most feared nemesis: the pole. Since then, I am in constant awe of all the ways a human body can create beauty around anything.
It is never too late to follow your dreams, if only you allow yourself the freedom to explore and play!

Hi! Call me Sparky
Aerial Silk teacher
My name is Alexandra Onofrei, but I’ve had this nickname since I was 13.
I fell in love with Aerial Silks sometime in March 2019 when I attended my first class, I was 27 at the time. Since then I've been avidly training, making me one of the studio’s most advanced students. I love making upside-down shapes and poses and hard-to-achieve climbs 😅.
When I touch the silks, audiences disappear, I fully commit to the movements, and focus deeply, that’s why I like performing (even though I’m an introvert). I love creating my own choreographies and never miss a chance to create one since our studio started showcasing them.
In 2021, I performed for 4 days straight at the Untold festival (one of the biggest in Romania). Thanks to the Circus Fairies, in 2022, I got to perform at the first contemporary circus festival in Romania, Cluj Circus Days. In 2023 thanks to Efreet, I performed at the Aventura in Natura and at the first edition of EMOM in Cluj. I'm always open and looking forward to creating magical experiences for audiences.
I thought that this feeling was too good to keep to myself, so I decided to share my burning passion with others by teaching aerial silks.

Nice to meet you! I'm Tami!
Pole Flow teacher
My name is Tamara Ovari. I am a dedicated PhD student at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the Babeș-Bolyai University.
I found my life had always been entwined with the world of dance. My journey commenced back in the second grade, as I was drawn into the world of sports dance, which carried me through nine vibrant years of competitions.
After this, I ventured into the captivating worlds of salsa and bachata. I embraced the Latin rhythms, attending festivals and even taking the stage in electrifying dance performances.
Then, the world faced a sudden intermission as the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe. Dancing with a partner was no longer possible, and my longing for movement and expression became palpable. It was during this time that I stumbled upon pole dancing, a mesmerizing blend of strength and grace.
Pole dancing became a means of staying active, channeling my love for dance, and building physical and mental strength.

Hi, it's Alice.
Photographer
My passion for dance always existed but it wasn't always manifested actively.
I took some dance classes when I was little and, at some point in my adult life, I felt the need to move my body. I wanted to create more space in my life for what I wanted to do, not only for what I had to do.
So I took some ballet classes, I did a little bit of aerial hoop, holistic dance, and, for a few years now, aerial silk. Aerial silk combines and satisfies my needs for movement, beauty, elegance, strength, and flight in a beautiful and supportive community.
Photography was a big part of my life from a young age too. I remember the red lights my father used while developing pictures in our bathroom. It became a more important part of my life during high school when I began to capture and collect moments from my favorite bands' concerts.
In University I got my first semi-professional camera and a bit later on, my first professional one.
I love taking photos of the beautiful natural places I visit, of the people in my life, and of my gorgeous aerial colleagues.
I think photography and aerial silk go extremely well together and I am grateful that I can explore both my passions in the warmth of the Onensa community.
